3 medium zucchinis, thinly sliced lengthwise

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg, lightly beaten

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Lay the slices out on a baking sheet lined with paper towels. Sprinkle them lightly with salt and allow them to sit for approximately 15 minutes to extract excess moisture.

      Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, blend together the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, beaten egg, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it is well combined and creamy in texture.
