Ingredients

2 cups fresh pineapple, peeled and chopped into small chunks

1 medium cucumber, peeled and chopped into small pieces

4 cups cold water, divided

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice (for the best flavor)

2-3 tablespoons agave syrup or honey (to taste, depending on sweetness preference)

A pinch of salt to enhance flavors

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Blend the Base: In a blender, add the chopped pineapple and cucumber along with 2 cups of cold water. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes completely smooth and well combined.

Strain the Mixture: Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a large pitcher. Carefully pour the blended mixture through to strain out the pulp, using a spatula or spoon to press down lightly and extract as much juice as possible.

Mix in the Flavors: Once strained, add the remaining 2 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Pour in the freshly squeezed lime juice, agave syrup (or honey), and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly to ensure all the ingredients are evenly blended together.

Taste and Adjust: Take a moment to taste your agua fresca. If you prefer it sweeter, gradually add more agave syrup or honey until it reaches your desired sweetness level.

Serve: If you enjoy chilled beverages, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the refreshing agua fresca over the ice and garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch.

Enjoy: Serve immediately to savor the refreshing and tropical flavors of this delightful drink!
