2 ripe bananas

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (or crunchy, based on your preference)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup dark chocolate chips (for optional drizzling)

A pinch of sea salt

Optional toppings: crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or chia seeds

Prepare the Bananas: Begin by peeling the bananas and slicing them into thick pieces, approximately 1/2 inch wide. Once cut, set the slices aside on a plate.

    Make the Peanut Butter Mixture: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and a pinch of sea salt. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and fully blended.

      Assemble the Bites: Take each banana slice and carefully dip it into the peanut butter mixture, ensuring that each piece is evenly coated. After coating, arrange the banana slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.

        Add Toppings: Take the rolled oats and generously sprinkle them over half of the banana slices. If you choose to add any optional toppings like crushed nuts or coconut flakes, do so at this stage, evenly distributing them across the chosen slices.

          Freeze: Place the baking sheet with the banana bites in the freezer. Allow them to freeze for approximately 1 hour, or until the banana bites are completely firm to the touch.

            Chocolate Drizzle (Optional): If you would like to add a chocolate drizzle, start by melting the dark chocolate chips. Place them in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring well in between, until the chocolate is completely smooth and liquid. Once the banana bites have frozen, take them out and use a fork or a piping bag to drizzle the melted chocolate over the tops.

              Final Freeze: Return the banana bites to the freezer for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, allowing the chocolate to harden completely on the surface.
