Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)

1 large sweet apple, such as Fuji or Honeycrisp, diced

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon maple syrup (or substitute with honey)

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional for added creaminess)

1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (or any nuts you prefer)

1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries

Pinch of salt

Optional toppings: additional diced apples, a drizzle of almond butter, or a sprinkle of chia seeds

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, diced apple, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, maple syrup (or honey), Greek yogurt (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the oats are fully coated.

Gently fold in the chopped walnuts and raisins (or dried cranberries), ensuring they are dispersed evenly throughout the oat mixture.

Carefully divide the mixture into two to four individual jars or containers with lids, ensuring each portion is roughly equal.

Seal each container tightly and place them in the refrigerator overnight, or for a minimum of 4 hours. This allows the oats to absorb the liquid and soften to a perfect texture.

In the morning, remove the jars from the refrigerator and give the oats a good stir. If the mixture appears too thick for your preference, add a splash of almond milk and mix until you reach your desired consistency.

Serve the spiced apple oats in bowls or enjoy them directly from the jars. For an extra touch, top each serving with additional diced apples, a drizzle of almond butter, and a sprinkle of chia seeds if desired.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 8 hours (including soaking) | Servings: 2-4

Optional Presentation Tips: For a beautiful presentation, layer the oats with diced apples and nuts in a clear glass, showcasing the vibrant colors and textures. Enjoy your delicious breakfast!
