Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

1 pound ground beef (feel free to substitute with ground turkey for a healthier alternative)

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (for an extra crispy texture)

1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (for added depth of flavor)

For the Honey Sriracha Glaze:

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust based on your spice preference)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional, for added aroma and flavor)

Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnishing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.

Mix the Meatball Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, minced garlic, beaten egg, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Use your hands or a spatula to gently mix the ingredients until just combined, taking care not to overmix which can make the meatballs tough.

Shape the Meatballs: With your hands, scoop out sections of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized meatballs, roughly 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place each meatball on the prepared baking sheet, making sure to space them at least an inch apart for even cooking.

Bake the Meatballs: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for 18-20 minutes, or until they are fully cooked through and exhibit a nice golden brown color.

Prepare the Glaze: While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Allow the mixture to reach a gentle simmer and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. Remove the saucepan from heat.

Glaze the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately toss them in the honey Sriracha glaze. Make sure each meatball is thoroughly coated for maximum flavor.

Serve and Garnish: Transfer the glazed meatballs to a serving platter. For a burst of color and added flavor, generously sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top.

Enjoy: Serve the meatballs right away as a delicious appetizer, or pair them over a bed of rice or noodles for a satisfying main course.
