Ingredients

20 jumbo pasta shells

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

2 cups marinara sauce

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.

Cook the Pasta Shells: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the jumbo pasta shells and cook them according to the package instructions until al dente, which typically takes about 9-11 minutes. After cooking, drain the shells and gently rinse them with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool.

Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, finely chopped spinach, 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix everything thoroughly until you achieve a well-blended filling.

Stuff the Shells: Carefully take each cooled pasta shell and fill it generously with the spinach and cheese mixture using a spoon or small spatula. Place each stuffed shell seam-side up in a greased baking dish, ensuring they fit snugly together.

Top with Marinara Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, making sure they are completely covered. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the top for a flavorful, cheesy crust.

Bake the Dish: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to retain moisture during baking. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. After this time, carefully remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.

Serve and Garnish: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Before serving, garnish the stuffed shells with fresh basil leaves for a pop of color and flavor.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the stuffed shells directly from the baking dish for a rustic feel, or transfer them to individual plates. Drizzle with extra marinara sauce and top with additional grated Parmesan for an elegant finish. Enjoy!
