Ingredients

2 large pieces of store-bought or homemade flatbread

1 cup of pizza sauce (your choice of store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (use a mix of red and yellow for added color)

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium (around 400°F). If you're using a charcoal grill, allow the coals to ash over and settle into an even heat.

Prepare the Flatbreads: Lightly brush one side of each piece of flatbread with olive oil. This will help prevent sticking and create a delightful crispy crust while grilling.

Grill the Flatbreads: Place the flatbreads directly oil-side down on the preheated grill. Grill for approximately 2-3 minutes until you see prominent grill marks and the flatbread begins to puff up slightly.

Add Sauce and Toppings: Carefully flip the flatbreads using tongs. On the grilled side of each flatbread, spread a generous layer of pizza sauce. Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the sauce, then arrange your favorite toppings: pepperoni, colorful bell peppers, and black olives. Finish off with dried oregano and, if desired, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for heat.

Cover and Cook: Close the grill lid to allow the toppings to cook evenly. Grill for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden, and the toppings are heated through.

Remove from the Grill: Using tongs or a spatula, carefully take the grilled flatbread pizzas off the grill and set them aside.

Garnish and Serve: Top the pizzas with fresh basil leaves for an aromatic finish. If desired, drizzle a bit more olive oil over the top to enhance the flavors.

Slice and Enjoy: Cut the pizzas into slices and serve hot, either as a delicious appetizer or a satisfying main dish!
