Ingredients

6 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

6 slider buns (choose mini brioche or regular slider buns)

6 slices of cheddar cheese

3 tablespoons butter (divided)

Fresh chives, finely chopped (for garnish)

Optional: hot sauce (for a spicy kick when serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.

Whisk the Eggs: In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add in the milk, a pinch of salt and pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use a whisk to blend all the ingredients thoroughly until combined and slightly frothy.

Cook the Eggs: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Once the butter is melted, pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Allow it to cook undisturbed for about one minute, then gently stir with a spatula, ensuring the uncooked portions flow to the bottom. Cook until the eggs are just set but still soft and creamy, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.

Assemble the Sliders: Take the slider buns and slice them in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves in a baking dish. Evenly distribute the scrambled eggs over each bottom bun. Top each portion of egg with a slice of cheddar cheese.

Add the Top Buns: Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese, creating your sandwich structure.

Butter the Sliders: In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Use a brush to generously coat the tops of the slider buns with melted butter, giving them a rich and inviting finish.

Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 10 minutes. After this time, carefully remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese has melted beautifully.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the sliders from the oven. Sprinkle the tops with freshly chopped chives for a burst of color and flavor. Serve hot, with hot sauce on the side for those who enjoy some extra heat.
