Ingredients

2 cups frozen mixed berries (a delightful mix of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)

1 cup Greek yogurt (choose plain for tartness or vanilla for sweetness)

1 cup fresh spinach (optional, but a great way to sneak in extra nutrition)

1 ripe banana, sliced

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to your desired sweetness)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added texture and nutritional boost)

Instructions

Blend the Ingredients: In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, Greek yogurt, spinach (if using), banana slices, almond milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and chia seeds. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no visible lumps or chunks.

Taste and Adjust: After blending, pause to taste the smoothie mixture. If you prefer a sweeter flavor, feel free to add additional honey or maple syrup. If the consistency is thicker than you like, mix in a splash more almond milk until you reach your desired texture.

Pour into Ice Cube Trays: Carefully pour the luscious smoothie mixture into silicone ice cube trays or any freezer-safe mold of your choice. Ensure you leave a small gap at the top of each compartment to allow for expansion as they freeze.

Freeze: Position the filled trays in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until the smoothie cubes are completely firm and frozen solid.

Store the Smoothie Cubes: Once frozen, gently pop the smoothie cubes out of the trays. Transfer them to a resealable freezer bag, making sure to remove excess air for optimal preservation. Label the bag with the date and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Serve as Needed: To enjoy a refreshing smoothie on demand, simply blend 2-3 of your frozen smoothie cubes with about 1 cup of your favorite liquid (such as almond milk, coconut water, or fruit juice) until the blend becomes smooth and vibrant. Feel free to add extra fresh fruits or greens to customize it further!

Prep Time, Total Time, Servings: 15 minutes | 6-8 hours (including freezing time) | Yields approximately 12 cubes (about 4 servings)

                - Serving Suggestion: For an extra touch, garnish your smoothie with fresh berries or a sprinkle of chia seeds before serving in a tall glass. Enjoy your quick and nutritious treat!
