Ingredients

3 ripe bananas

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a silkier texture)

1/2 cup crushed nuts (such as almonds or hazelnuts, optional)

1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Popsicle sticks or wooden skewers

A pinch of sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Start by peeling the ripe bananas. Cut each banana in half crosswise, creating six pieces. Insert a popsicle stick or wooden skewer into the cut end of each banana half, ensuring it's secure. Arrange the prepared banana pops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Dip the Bananas: Once your chocolate mixture is melted, take each banana half and dip it into the chocolate, making sure it’s fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off, then place the chocolate-dipped bananas back onto the lined baking sheet.

Add Toppings: While the chocolate coating is still wet, feel free to sprinkle your choice of crushed nuts or shredded coconut over the top of each banana. For an extra touch of flavor, lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the chocolate coating for a delightful contrast.

Freeze: Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and let the banana pops freeze for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate has hardened completely.

Serve and Enjoy: When ready to enjoy, remove the frozen banana pops from the freezer. Allow them to sit at room temperature for about a minute to soften slightly before indulging in your delightful Chocolate-Covered Banana Bliss Pops!
