Ingredients

1 package of crescent roll dough (8 oz)

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Olive oil spray

Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by heating your oven to 400°F (200°C). To facilitate an easy cleanup, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Crescent Roll Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean, flat surface and carefully separate it into 8 triangular pieces.

Add Fillings: On the broader side of each triangle, place 3 to 4 slices of pepperoni, followed by a generous tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese. To amplify the flavor, sprinkle a dash of Italian seasoning and garlic powder on top of the cheese.

Roll Them Up: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, gently roll the dough towards the tip to enclose the filling. Ensure to pinch the edges together firmly to prevent any cheese from leaking out during baking.

Apply the Egg Wash: Arrange the filled pizza rolls on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart. Using a brush, apply the beaten egg over the top of each roll to give them a lovely golden-brown finish when baked.

Spray with Olive Oil: To achieve an extra crispy exterior, lightly spray the tops of the rolls with olive oil.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the rolls turn golden brown and the cheese inside is beautifully melted.

Serve: Once baked, remove the pizza rolls from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Serve these delicious rolls warm alongside a small bowl of marinara sauce for dipping. For an elevated touch, garnish with fresh basil leaves.
