Ingredients

1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 can (4 oz) diced jalapeños, drained (adjust to taste for desired spice level)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup freshly chopped cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Tortilla chips or a variety of fresh vegetable sticks, for serving

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Using an electric mixer on medium speed or a whisk, blend the two together until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and free of lumps.

Once combined, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese along with the drained diced jalapeños. Then, add the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix everything together until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.

After mixing, taste the dip. Adjust the seasoning to your liking, adding more salt, pepper, or additional jalapeños to increase the heat level if desired.

Spoon the dip into a serving bowl and use a spatula to smooth the surface. If you choose to use cilantro, sprinkle it generously over the top for a burst of color and flavor.

To enhance the flavor, cover the dip with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes. For the best taste experience, consider letting it chill overnight to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

When ready to serve, offer the dip chilled alongside crispy tortilla chips or an assortment of fresh vegetable sticks like carrots, celery, and bell peppers for a delightful crunch.
