1 cup pitted Medjool dates (softened if necessary)

1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, plus extra for coating

1/2 cup raw almonds

1/4 cup cocoa powder

2 tablespoons almond butter (or your preferred nut butter)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional, adjust according to your sweetness preference)

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (for melting and drizzling, optional)

Instructions
 

Soften the Dates: If your Medjool dates are firm, soak them in warm water for approximately 10 minutes to soften. Drain the water and set the dates aside.

    Blend the Base: In a food processor, combine the softened dates, shredded coconut, raw almonds, cocoa powder, almond butter, vanilla extract, sea salt, and maple syrup (if using). Blend the mixture until it becomes a sticky and well-integrated mass. The desired texture should be slightly chunky but compact enough to hold together when pressed between your fingers.

      Form the Balls: With clean hands, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a round ball using the palms of your hands. Place each rolled ball onto a lined baking sheet. Repeat this process with the remaining mixture until all the bliss balls are formed.
