Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), preferably wild-caught

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon, finely grated

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Lemon wedges, for serving

Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). To make cleanup easier, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped dill, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper until all ingredients are well blended and aromatic.

Marinate the Salmon: Lay the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet with the skin side facing down. Using a brush or the back of a spoon, generously apply the garlic-dill marinade over the top of each fillet, ensuring an even and thorough coating for maximum flavor.

Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. The salmon is ready when it flakes effortlessly at the touch of a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Serve: Once the salmon is perfectly baked, carefully remove it from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Serve it hot, accompanied by lemon wedges and garnished with fresh dill sprigs to enhance its vibrant presentation.

Enjoy: For a delightful and complete meal, pair your luscious baked salmon with sides such as roasted seasonal vegetables, fluffy quinoa, or a crisp garden salad.
