1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup whole wheat flour

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

    Prepare the Apples: Peel and grate the apples using a box grater or a food processor. Once grated, place the apples in a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice, tossing to coat. This will help prevent browning. Set the apple mixture aside.

      Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Whisk these ingredients thoroughly to ensure they are evenly combined.
